Doctor With Data exists to translate health research into plain English without hype. This policy describes the standards every article and calculator on this site must meet.
Accuracy first
Every claim about a study must be traceable to the study itself. We link to original sources wherever possible. We do not invent statistics, quotations, or findings. When the evidence is uncertain, we say so plainly instead of smoothing it over.
Medical review
Nothing health-related publishes without medical review. Dr. Taimoor Asghar, MBBS, a physician and published community medicine researcher, personally reviews every article and calculator for medical accuracy before it goes live. Articles show a visible “Medically reviewed on” date. See our Medical Review Policy for the full process.
How we handle evidence
Studies are graded on our 1-to-5 evidence scale and given a plain-English verdict. The method is published in full on our How We Grade Evidence page, so readers can judge our judgements. We report what studies found and what they did not find, including the caveats the original authors stated.
Independence
Our verdicts are not for sale. Sponsors, advertisers, and affiliate partners do not influence grades, verdicts, or article conclusions. Where content includes affiliate links or advertising, it is labelled as such.
Corrections
We correct errors openly. If you spot a mistake in an article or calculator, tell us through our contact page. Factual corrections are made promptly, and significant corrections are noted on the article itself. Grades and verdicts are updated when new research meaningfully changes the picture.
What we do not do
- We do not publish miracle cures, secret remedies, or conspiracy claims.
- We do not present preliminary findings as established fact.
- We do not give personalised medical advice. Our content is educational; decisions about your health belong with a qualified clinician.
