Medical Review Policy

Medical Review Policy

Medical information is only as good as its review. This page explains exactly how Doctor With Data keeps its content accurate.

Who reviews

All medical content on this site, calculators, research tools, and articles, is reviewed by Dr. Taimoor Asghar, a physician and community medicine researcher. His credentials and published work are listed on the About page.

What review covers

Before any calculator or article is published, the reviewer checks:

  1. Methods: the formula, score, or instrument matches its published source, with correct cut-offs and units.
  2. Numbers: every figure, reference range, and worked example is traceable to a cited source. Nothing is invented.
  3. Wording: claims are qualified the way the evidence qualifies them. Preliminary findings are labelled as preliminary.
  4. Safety: dosing and emergency tools carry explicit warnings about their limits, and every tool page states that it does not replace professional advice.

Updates and corrections

Medicine moves. We re-check high-traffic tools at least once a year and update pages when guidelines change. If you spot an error, report it through the Contact page: confirmed errors are fixed promptly and significant corrections are noted on the page itself.

What this policy does not do

Review reduces error; it does not remove it, and it does not make this site a substitute for your clinician. Content here is for informational and educational purposes only. Always seek the advice of a qualified health provider with any questions about a medical condition, and never disregard professional advice because of something you read here.
